Jana : Eighteen years old girl Jana Dedourkova enjoys dancing in the Kocianka - social care for physically and mentally handicapped youth. Jana was born with a cleft palate (palatoschisis). She loves horses, athletics, playing the drums, dolls and especially her dog Brok. She is in love with a boy from a neighboring village. He is a firefighter. Having a cleft palate does not inevitably lead to a psychosocial problem. Most children who have their clefts repaired early enough are able to have a happy youth and a healthy social life. Cleft palate occurs in about one in 700 live births worldwide.
