Latvia, Collaborating with the so called real world : This project to me, as a photographer growing up in Italy, is an opportunity to escape from reality that we can see/observe to the “Collaboration with the so-called Real World”. This concept comes from a “collaboration” between the photographer and what is called  the “Real World”; the intention was to work around the Lyric Documentary shown by Walker Evans during a lecture at Yale University in 1964. The word “lyric” suggests subjective and personal emotions, and “documentary” suggests the objective recording of facts. And also, it is clearly showing the‘Tender cruelty’ trough witch the writer Lincoln Kirstein described the work of American photographer Walker Evans in the 1930s. The ‘tender cruelty’ to me represents an oscillation between engagement and estrangement.
